Celebrating Christmas across the Globe
This Holiday Season, Let’s Give Back to the Ocean 🌊
Instead of exchanging Christmas gifts this year, I’m asking friends and family from around the world to come together for a cause close to my heart: supporting ocean heroes who are saving our blue planet by donating any amount you want to PADI AWARE Foundation.
As someone with roots in Switzerland, a partner in the U.S., and friends spread across the globe, shipping gifts and spending Christmas in person with everyone feels impractical and sometimes even impossible — but making a meaningful impact doesn't. So instead of buying gifts, this year all I ask for is for us to protect our oceans together 🩵🤍.
Here’s why I picked this cause:
PADI AWARE is racing to raise $100,000 in 100 days to double the funding available for grassroots, ocean-saving projects. These grants empower conservation initiatives that protect coral reefs, educate new generations of divers, and drive lasting change in local communities. At the same time it feels a little like Christmas, because every donation entered can also win a vacation to Egypt at the same time.

The Race to 100

What is the Race to 100?
In the past few months, we've received over 150 community grant requests - a fourfold increase in just two years. From coral restoration in Thailand to shark protection in Mexico, these projects urgently need support. Our Goal? Raise $100,000 in 100 days. Every donation make a difference for the ocean.
These 100 days are exactly around the holiday seasons (1st November 2024 till 09th February 2025) and my personal goal is to raise $300 with all my friends and family to help this cause.
If all of us donate only the tiniest amount, this could already make a huge difference.
