Supporting the AWARE Foundation's effort in marine conservation
Supporting the mission of the PADI AWARE Foundation means helping protect the oceans that divers and local communities depend on every day. By supporting conservation efforts through AWARE, we help fund initiatives across the globe focused on debris removal, marine protected areas, shark and ray conservation efforts and community driven environmental clean-up effort.
Locally, protecting the Bay Islands is about more than protecting our local dive sites. It is also about protecting a significant piece of the Mesoamerican Reef which is the second largest reef system in the world. Funding from AWARE initiatives have protected over 100 species of sharks and rays worldwide including species here in the Bay Islands.
