I'm fundraising for the ocean

I have been working to protect the ocean for years through MORE Planning, an environmental NPO based in Izu Peninsula, Japan.

As a PADI AmbassaDiver, I have shared what I see beneath the surface and worked to connect divers with action for the ocean.

In 2026, I was honored to receive the PADI Ocean Torchbearer Award for my work in ocean conservation.

But the award is not the destination. It is simply one result of the work we have been doing — and a reminder that there is still much more to do.

Through MORE Planning, we remove marine debris from the waters around the Izu Peninsula, document what we find, and work with divers, researchers, local communities and organizations to protect the marine environment.

The ocean has 30 million witnesses. They're called divers.

We see what is changing below the surface.

PADI AWARE helps turn what divers see into action — documenting marine debris, protecting marine life, supporting research, and empowering communities around the world to protect their oceans.

I am raising funds because I believe that what we see underwater should not end as a story told afterwards.

It should become action.

For the ocean, and for the generations who will inherit it.
